Our colleagues were awarded

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of BME held its Annual Faculty Council in June this year in the Ceremonial Hall of the main building. Most of our faculty members were able to attend the ceremony in person, and a good number of our colleagues from the department received awards from Prof. Dr. Tibor Czigány, Rector, and Prof. Dr. Imre Norbert Orbulov, Dean.

The Rector's Commendation was awarded to:
Dr. Ákos Kmetty and Dr. László Mészáros

The Faculty Council awarded the Gillemot Prize for Hungarian Mechanical Engineers to Dr. József Gábor Kovács for his outstanding research work in the field of polymer engineering, his internationally outstanding scientific achievements and his outstandingly successful industrial and application activities, his curriculum development and school-educational activities.

The Faculty Council awarded the Bánki Donát Memorial Medal for the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering to Prof. Dr. Hajnalka Hargitai, Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the BME for her outstanding work, for her numerous doctoral theses, for her participation in committees, as well as for her diploma thesis, TDK thesis and thesis.

Dr. Ferenc György Ronkay, Head of the Development Group of Jász-Plasztik Kft., was awarded the title of Honorary University Professor by the Faculty Council for his research work in the field of polymer recycling and its implementation in an industrial environment, and for the integration of the results into teaching.

The Dean's Commendation was awarded to:
Zsuzsanna Kamilla Abonyi, Dávid Bartók, György Bartók, Balázs Pinke, Dr. Ferenc Szabó, Dr. Andrea Toldy and Dr. Dániel Török

Prof. Dr. Tibor Czigány received the Outstanding Teacher Award of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, founded by the Student Council of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, based on the OHV results.
